"Are you spending too much time formatting documents?"
You probably know the basics of Word. But there is so much more that Word can do to help you double your productivity and create professional looking documents.

This workshop is a MUST if you want to learn how to handle long Word documents, mail merge with ease, use tables or want to use Word to insert pictures or graphs.

We'll take away the guesswork so you’ll be able to get the most out of Word - you'll learn skills that will and save you HOURS, help avoid repetition and eliminate errors.

You'll discover:

  • How to use Styles that help you format documents properly.
  • Create Styles that represent your preferred formatting for headings, subheadings, paragraphs and lists, such as your choice of font, size, colour and indentation.
  • Automate your Styles and your document will be professionally formatted with the right spacing and fonts. It will practically format itself.

  • Master those pesky multi-level numbered lists.
  • 1. Gain control of new lists when you want your numbering to restart.
    • a. Create your own sub levels and modify the number or bullet to your own preference
      • i) Generate legal documents, contracts or quotation terms
      • ii) Continue numbering at any level with a simple right-click.
    • b. Insert, delete, promote or demote text with confidence because you can control your numbering - even if it misbehaves.

  • Use pictures or 3D Graphics to skyrocket your presentations
  • When you insert a picture such as a company logo, a product image or the employee of the month, you want the related text to flow around the image. Master this technique so that newly inserted text or photos will respond to your design preferences.
  • Insert pictures into your Smart Art to visually enhance the points you are demonstrating. Don't know what Smart Art is? Trust us, you'll love it.

  • Master tables - design and manipulate them just the way you want.
  • Convert lists of text into a table instantly. Just as easily - convert a table to text.
  • Manage text alignment within cells - left, centre, right, or even top and bottom. Not satisfied? Change the text direction to vertical.

  • Mail merge with ease
  • Determine the most efficient way to use your data
  • How to insert content from other sources.

This is just a taste of what you'll learn. Email us if you would like to receive a comprehensive Microsoft Word - Intermediate to Advanced course outline.

Even though our workshops are based on Word 2007, they are also designed for users of Word 2003 and earlier. You'll still learn many time-saving tools and features that will help you get more done in less time.
